Locke, I have not looked at those past conversations. I noticed you said read them and tell you what I think. Right now, consideration conscientiousness. I am not reading them, but I have not deleted them just yet. They sit in the limbo between my curiosity and my rationality.

Focus on where I fit? Sure, I fit in a 6x4 ft. hole in the ground, but you don't really see me jumping into it... or maybe I am and don't notice it. The "S" is more visible on the site than in the posts. Dead, eh? I don't know. I do know that this whole thing sucks. This is not the way things should be. Then again, though, what I know about the war is now being supplied by David Rees. This is an odd war. If I did not care, I would not know it was on. I hate that I cannot be as up to date on current events as I would like. Do you guys thin you understand it all and know it all? I don't. And it's not because the government and media are providing information. It's that I cannot or will not bother to get it. Maybe it is my world. Does the war not reach this far? Why? It has no relevance where I spend my days. Maybe someone mentioned it. Once. When I do hear it, it is kept from existing as anything other the the usual.

The war is good, but so long as it fits inside my schedule. ?!?!? What the heck? We are not at war. Maybe the Marines are. Army, navy, air force, whoever is actually over in Afghanistan. Including the Northern Alliance and the actual Afghan people. I think the Afghan people are at war. That sounds right. Me? I'm not at war. I'm debating it in blogs and in discussions. Watching it on CNN and seeing it in the magazines, newspapers, and comics. That was the mistake of September 11. Someone over in Afghanistan decided to involve people who had no interest in war, in war. The victims, the rescue workers, everyone affected.
Now the war is real again. I can't explain it. But I know it. I feel it. You can feel the people trying to do their part. As Americans and people. Rising to the occasion. I wonder what the American Revolution felt like. Amazing.

Don't overestimate or underestimate these terrorists. Training by themselves? Do you realize what it is to have any impact on this world whatsoever? Much less single-handedly. That is impressive. Do people want bin Laden's blood? Well, you can't expect a better world just to spontaneously generate. Focus on where you fit first.

Damned straight I love this world. Maybe not the people, but this is my world. You know you have done good when you have earned your place in it. Do not take it for granted.

Hiding some guy in a world that is hostile to him and is spending millions of resources to drag his bloody carcass through the streets of downtown NY.... or to kill him and practically make him an "untouchable" legend that continues to evade authorities world-wide? Destroying the Taliban was as useful as destroying an empty hornet's nest. Sure, they can't come back anymore to that same nest, but that nest was empty for a reason....

The thought that destroying a command center for terrorism will aid in destroying terrorism as a whole is worthless. How do you think all terrorists start? By themselves. Now, we've just given them more reason to train harder....

As for unnecessary suffering, I think that's exactly what we did... dole out unnecessary punishment and suffering... to what end? So we can have a false sense of security? Heh, I love this world.

I think this one was an accident, though it is incredibly unfortunate. At the school where I teach, two children lost their their fathers on Flight 587. That's terrible. These are tragic times. Hey, I think you are mistaken, Misfortune. There is alot of unnecessary suffering in the world. I'm just trying to stop it. Did bin Laden he had nuclear weapons.? Where?!? This guy deserves an HBO Special. A one man stand-up show. Defnitely before Sinbad, at least. Of course, sucks for us if he really does nukes. Maybe this war will get better before it gets worse? On a brighter note, the Northern Alliance took Kabul. Go USA and friends.
