SoccerScores.net Keeping track of what your bitch deprives you of
The stats that matter. If you can’t find what your looking for its because it doesn’t matter.
.Net cause the .com site sucks
SoccerScores.net "Did you know that the asian soccer confederacy is called the AFC? Neither did we.
Made with 99% real soccer. The remaining 1% is Asian soccer
or mexican soccer
Did you know the asian confederacy is called the AFC? I thought they ate dogs not chicken.
AAArrrghhh. Social Studies believes my ideas to be too "unconventional"?
Oohh, I'll show them.
I'll show them all . . .

Cookies will come with the database so that users can login and have a custome home page.
In order to do the custom home page to track just a team instead of a league we'll have to have database. So initially that won't happen but eventually it will.
We won't have club pages. There just way too many clubs. Maybe eventually but thats way down the road.
As for four clicks and they see the info they want i think tahts too many clicks.
This is my idea let me know what you think. A nav bar similar to do one at wingdesigns.com. The Nav bar will Have "EUROPE - UEFA" "N. & C. AMERICA - CONCACAF" "S. AMERICA - CONMEBOL" "ASIA - WHATEVER TEH FUCK IT IS THEY CALL IT"
When user rollsover down pops a list of the COUNTRIES we cover. ONLY COUNTRIES. That will lead them to the tables of that league in that country. 1 click (ok and a rollover that isn't really a click) and they see the stats the want. From that table there will be a link the FIXTURES AND LATEST RESULTS.
Back to the main page. On the left frame the first item will be
INT'L COMPETITIONS
- WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS
- EURO 2004
- CHAMPIONS LEAGuE
- UEFA CUP
- GOLD CUP
- COPA AMERICA
- COPA LIBERTADORES
- COPA SUDAMERICANA
- INTERCONTINENTAL CUP
Clicking on either of those links will go to that competitoins page. Probably sub domains for the most important competitions. for instance www.2006.soccerscores.com will be world cup qualifiers page. On that competiotns page will be TABLE(s) and link to fixtures and results. Maybe for champions leage the fixture will appear first, we'll see.
We will have a forum right off the bat it comes with the hosting for free. We'll discuss how we organize the forum later once we understand exactly how we can organize it.
On the right side of the page we can have a poll. and a vertical ad under that. ALong the bottom another ad.
What do u guys think any modifications?
Maybe even ad Int'l competitiosn as its own thing in the nav bar. But remember the website has to look like its full of info yet its easy to read and won't look cluttereed. Too much space and it looks like some amature page. We can't ahve that. We need to find a balance.
Excellent analysis, you really nailed the situation perfect. We MUST use this event to our full advantage.
Design and functionality . . . need a little bit of thought. Let's talk at least once first, and then make the transition from discussion to action?
Maybe I can have a few solid ideas to offer you in a few days, or if you already have a plan, then I would be willing to roll on that.
Alright seeing as how a good advertising oppurtunity for the website is coming in November (2 months away) we need to get cracking. I am thinking about putting the database solution on the back burner and return to it when the website is already up and running. I think this is the quickest way to do the site in the shorterm. I realize its not the best for the longterm but we will address that by implenting a database into the site in a few months.
The reason i think we should go the html way is because I want to have a working SPANISH site ON or BEFORE November 15th. The world cup qualifier games my dad is showing in westchester will be a 300+ person event (hopefully). Seeing as how the event has no name is being presented by no one I'm going to mention to him that i want the event to be adversited as TuFutbol.net/SoccerScores.net presents: yadayaydaya. At the event we will hand out starting lineup sheets brought to you by TuFutbol.net/SoccerScores.net. My dad is going to be advertising the event in spanish newspapers and by flyers and whatnot so this is awesome exposure and we can ONLY exploit if I can go and say to my dad WE WILL HAVE A SITE WORKING BY THE DATE OF THE EVENT. Once we start generating traffic I can go to the magazine Futbol Mundial and offer a banner ad to them in exchange for a print ad. They have 1 million copies in circulation. So you see we have to seize this oppurtunity. The quicker we generate traffic the faster we are to making money and believe you me WE WILL MAKE MONEY WITH THIS IF WE ARE DETERMINED TO DO IT.
What we need to workon is a creative User Interface Solution.
The goals should be:
User should get to the info he wants without having to dig into deep
Something we can easily update
Remember Although we will cover 30 or more league teams (if its mroe it has to be divisible by 3 to even shit out) we will be covering EVERY INTERNATIONAL TEAM COMPETITION AND INTERNATIONAL CLUB COMPETITIONS (champs league, world cup qualifiers, euro etc). updating those aren't so hard just have to treat them like another league.
WE WILL HAVE ALL FIXTURES AND ALL RESULTS OF EVERY GAME POSSIBLE
Fixture and Results page are one in the same making update easy.
Updating should be easy.
Regular league week if each of us has 10 teams would be to access the 10 html files for table stats and then the 10 html fixture/results files. 20 html files to update isn't too bad i don't think if we are all organized. We do not need to update daily we need to discuss and mutually agree on how often the info should be updated. I have almost a complete list of links to all the information we will need to make those updates accurate with up to the minute info.
As for the spanish. Does that require even more files to update? NO. You update those files and thats it. The spanish site will see those too. Why? Because we are using frames. As for international competitions where national teams have different names in spanish and in english. OH WELL. Not like the spic can read english or vice versa. (the english can read spic) hehe that sounds funny let me laugh for a while.
Ok its lowtide so i've got some relatives i need to pick up. Let me know what u guys think.
